IMS CAPITAL SRL is a long-established investment management firm specializing in the provision of mezzanine and junior capital to privately-owned Romanian businesses. Our extensive investment track record dates back nearly 10 years and today we are investing our first investment fund with capital resources attracted of Euro 100 million.

We focus on investing mezzanine capital into medium-sized Romanian businesses, often for transactions such as management buyouts, corporate acquisitions, expansion or recapitalization. Frequently we invest alongside leading private equity firms, although we also invest independently when appropriate situations arise requiring a mezzanine financing solution.

We are always looking for funding solutions for real estate development projects. private equity for investment opportunities in multiple vertical markets, new business contacts and why not partners.

As a partnership ourselves, we are an independent firm owned and controlled by our own personnel, started by Marius Ion, supported by colleagues and developed steep by steep thou time. Our source of capital is our investment funds which are backed by major international institutional investors, such as private and public sector pension funds, life assurance groups, banking organizations, funds-of-funds, private individuals or groups of individuals and charitable foundations.

In each investment we make, our approach is to work in partnership with the other parties involved, be they private equity firms, other investors, management executives or creditor banks. We take pride in our informal but professional approach and our ability to react quickly to complex financing proposals and to deliver tailored solutions.

IMS CAPITAL has offices in both Bucharest and Ploiesti and we have an investment portfolio which spans a great many Romanian counties. With experience of investing over €1 billion across a broad range of industry sectors throughout Romania, we are ideally qualified to provide flexible and innovative financing solutions for a variety of financing needs.

IMS CAPITAL SRL is the manager of all our investment funds. The funds are conventionally structured as limited partnerships in which institutional investors are the limited partners and an IMS CAPITAL group entity is the general partner.

Within each fund, we seek to build a portfolio of investments in growth-oriented, medium-sized Pan-European or local Romanian businesses generating income and capital gains over a medium to long-term investment horizon.

Launching our first found in 2009 is the main objective and hopefully this will be the beginning of a beautiful business direction with implications towards all aspects of our current business.
